When a car is not repairable for less than the price of another, we have to break it up. This provides a rich source of parts which are good enough for a lot of owners working to a tight budget.

The kind of things we get are body panels and some hard to find parts such as hood frames suitable for being recovered for a hardtop only car with no old hood to upgrade. Service replaced items like shock absorbers are usually best discarded due to the uncertainty of their condition, but springs and drive shafts can be recovered for a good saving on the price of new items.

Like the recondition service items, his option is less attractive to the driver who wants a pristine condition rebuild, but is ideal for the driver who is in search of a useable low cost classic.
